Meet the Team

The two Executive Directors of FE Investments have, collectively, 45 years of experience in the banking and finance sector. The Executive Directors have previous experience at senior level with well-known banks and financial institutions in New Zealand. In addition to banking, they have experience and training in agricultural science, property valuation, law and economics.

The Executive Directors are supported by a management team with expertise and experience in the areas of law, accounting and risk management practices. FE Investments has staff to assist with your queries in English, Chinese, Indian and Malaysian.

  

Mel Stewart

Mel Stewart has extensive experience in financing in the rural, residential, commercial and industrial sectors throughout Australasia and Oceania.

His involvement in the Rural Bank and Elders Finance Limited gives him a comprehensive understanding of issues relating to these areas of finance.

In addition, Mel was a major shareholder and managing director of Elders Finance and played a key role in growing that company into a major force in the finance industry in New Zealand.

 

  

TK Shim

TK Shim has in-depth experience in corporate advisory services and corporate finance to Small to Medium-sized Enterprises (“SME’s”).

TK specialises in innovative structured financing for companies in the general business sector including arranging bond and unit trust issues, putting in place trade finance, financing acquisitions, securitisation facilities and other cashflow lending products.

He was a banking law specialist with some of the major law firms in New Zealand and has also gained banking experience working with Westpac Banking Corporation.

  

Peter Simunovich

Peter is an experienced entrepreneur involved in various industries.

Peter was the managing Director of Simunovich Fisheries prior to its sale to New Zealand public company, Sanford.

He oversees various family investments such as property development in New Zealand, a fishing company in Australia, an established manufacturing business based in Auckland with a manufacturing hub in Kuala Lumpur and property investments in Europe.

Peter is a non-executive Director of FE Investments.

  

Cherry Chen

Cherry is FEI’s Senior Manager of Investing and Marketing, responsible for incoming deposits from offshore investors as well as from within New Zealand. A commerce graduate from Auckland University and East China University of Science and Technology, Cherry has gained invaluable experience in banking and wealth management from working with Standard Chartered Bank, ASB Bank and Westpac Banking Corporation.

In addition, Cherry has a good understanding of the real estate sector through working experience in international realty firms.

Cherry is an important member of the management team and through her expertise and insight into investors’ needs plays a key role in shaping FE Investments’ strategy to promote the company’s investment products.
